Of all the furniture we remove, couches cause the most headaches for people trying to do it themselves. A few reasons why:
Weight and awkward shape. A standard sofa can weigh 100 to 150 pounds, and sectionals or sleeper sofas can weigh considerably more. Size is the biggest factor — a loveseat costs less to remove than a large sectional, simply because of how much truck space it takes up. Sectionals typically cost more to remove than a standard sofa simply because they take up more space in the truck and often require more time to disconnect and carry in sections. That difference is reflected in your upfront quote, not added afterward.
Can I get rid of just the cushions or just the frame?
Most requests are for the whole couch, but if you only need part of it removed — for example, a broken frame while keeping the cushions — just let us know when you book and we'll price accordingly.
What if my couch is in a basement with a low ceiling or narrow stairwell?
